‘Sonikete Blues: Woodshedding’
Flamenco + Jazz + Delta Blues = Sonikete Blues

WHAT:
Forever Flamenco presents Sonikete Blues: Woodshedding — Flamenco plus jazz plus delta blues equals “Sonikete Blues,” in this innovative fusion of Gypsy flamenco with the infusion of delta blues songs found in Mississippi. The Ethan Sultry Group is joined by special guests Ramón Porrina on cajon, vocalist Emi Secrest and featured flamenco dancer Cihtli “La Gallardi” Ocampo. The Los Angeles Times hails the Fountain Theatre’s monthly Forever Flamenco series as “the earth and fire of first-class flamenco,” and LA Splash says, “Being the sensual, intimate art form that it is… the way you feel when you walk out of a Forever Flamenco performance is pretty darn fabulous.”
