Echo Theater announces pay-what-you-want
performances for ‘What Happened When’
LOS ANGELES (Sept. 27, 2018) — The Echo Theater Company will make admission to all remaining performances of its critically acclaimed West Coast premiere production of What Happened When by Daniel Talbott “Pay-What-You-Want.” The production returns tonight, Thursday, Sept. 27, in a third and final rendition (following productions in April and July) with a third set of ensemble members. Performances take place at Atwater Village Theatre, where they will continue on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. for two weeks through Oct. 11 (please note revised closing date.)
This time around, Lovell Holder directs Ian Bamberg, Matthew Gallenstein and, at alternate performances, Kenzie Caplan and Mara Klein in the roles of three siblings. On a snowy night in a rural farmhouse, they huddle together in the dark with a flashlight while the audience (unseen by them) gathers closely around. Memories unravel and dark truths are revealed in this haunting ghost story by Rattlestick Playwrights Theater’s Talbott (Slipping).
All tickets are “Pay-What-You-Want” and can be booked online at echotheatercompany.com or purchased at the door. Atwater Village Theatre is located at 3269 Casitas Ave., Los Angeles, CA. 90039. Parking is free in the ATX parking lot one-half block south of the theater.
