L.A. Theatre Works celebrates the

‘Art of Diplomacy‘ at The Broad

WHAT:
L.A. Theatre Works Celebrates the ‘Art of Diplomacy’ at a special one-night only event of theater and conversation. Hosted by actors Seamus Dever and Susan Sullivan, LATW will honor human rights advocate and civic leader Kimberly Marteau Emerson and former U.S. Ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany John B. Emerson. The evening will include a performance by Alfred Molina and Steven Weber of A Walk in the Woods, Lee Blessing’s award-winning two-hander about a Russian and American negotiator who leave the official Geneva sessions to privately explore obstacles their countries face on the path to peace. Following the play, USC Annenberg School Center on Communication Leadership and Policy chair Geoffrey Cowan will lead the honorees in a lively and thought-provoking discussion about the opportunities and challenges of diplomacy.
